Title: When the logs get straightened out...
Post by: Tinman on December 15, 2011, 08:01:21 PM
will all past logged data read correctly? I ask because when viewing logged data now I get what seem to be impossible results with voltages, kW hours and amp/hours that are identical but I know can't be.

Example: today I see the result of 6 amp/hrs and 6 kWhrs. Hi vBatt 145, Hi vPV 640, Hi power 327.

3 100 watt panels. I saw 330 watts so the 327 is close but where does the 640 come from?

If these will read correctly with updates, ok. If not then where am I reading this all wrong?

yes the 11-9 firmware fixes this. Amphours is broken but the others are missing a decimal in that revision. Try loading the latest firmware off the website make sure to do the Classic and MNGP So Hi vBatt 145 is 14.5, Hi vPV 640 is 64.0, Hi power 327 is correct.

I saw the same goofy #'s as Tinman  but figured if it's working let it be.

The numbers would be VERY weird in that un-released logging version (the one where you have to blindly press buttons), much better in the present version (September 2011 ?)  and even better in the up coming version.  Not THAT much better, but better.
Also, the linear graphing screens will be better.  i.e.  instead of fairly flat horizontal lines, they will fill the screen more..

I'll wait for the next version, already have the latest published I think.  Classic working like a champ on the charging end. Bumped up the absorb a bit for flooded so I'm pushing right at 15 volts. Did wonders for the bank compared to the default setting.

Blindly pushing buttons seems to be what I do best with these things, I'm getting better, but it is a foreign language. I never put together the decimal point bit, I just figured it was stuff that I was not meant to understand.

Mine also is charging well when the wind cooperates.
