I recently setup a new system from MWANDS with the C250 as the brain.
I had some really strange symptoms with the C250...right now it refuses to change the mode to "ON".

System as follows:
Outback FP-1 with FX3048A & Flexmax80 with 3600W PV
25KWh LiFePo4 battery bank, 48V nominal, max charge 54.5V
Midnite Classic 250 with MWANDS 2000W 79" turbine.
System has been running on solar for almost a year, just added the turbine last month.
Hi miahallen,
For my computer, both youtube videos are "Private", and would not run.
So, what does the Classic 250 show for input voltage, and for the battery voltage?
And, what is the exact model number for the Classic? This should be on a tag on one side, or the other of the Classic. Do you know, if the Classic came with a Wind Curve, pre-loaded into the Classic?
Thanks for added info, Vic
Vic, thanks for the reply...
- I fixed the videos, please try again, thanks
- Input voltage is showing 15-20V under a gentle breeze, and up to about 50V with a stout wind as shown in the video.....not nearly high enough.
- The battery voltage is accurate at 48-52V matching the Flexmax80
- I'm not sure, I'll ask the client to send me some pics...
- Yes, there was a wind curve pre-loaded, but input voltages were too low to supply any charge....MWANDS suggested that I load in their default wind curve.
It was after I configured that MWANDS curve that the charge mode started refusing to switch to ON. - I also tried a hard reset on the C250 to start over from scratch. Curiously, after the reset, there was no wind curve preset....so manual input was my only option.
You should probably contact the support from Missouri Wind since it is the wind generator they produce and they sell the Classic with it so they should know how to set it up properly to work and the associated wind curves to load in

A view of the status screen and possibly the wind-graph screen might be very useful here.
Also, try the Reason-For-Resting screen from status to see if that RFR number gives an indication of why it won't turn ON.
I have seen this before but I don't remember off hand what the problem is. Also check the temperatures screen.
I just checked my notes and I found RFR 29 as a possibility...
ReasonForResting = 29 ON/OFF stays off because WIND GRAPH is insane
What this means is that the wind graph that is selected is WAY off.... There is a point in there that is just not right.
A picture of the graph would tell us if this is the issue.
Hi miahallen,
Thanks for fixing the videos … will look at them now.
Thanks, also, for the added info on the system.
The only thing that I know about wind power, is that I know nothing. Well, perhaps one "known" here: It usually takes a LOT of consistent wind, to produce much power (IMO).
Later, Vic
someone else recently was on the forums here with issue with the Missouri Windpower wind generator not working with Classic. I couldn't find the discussion in the quick search I did . I think they finally put in the right wind curve and that fixed the problem.

Hi Larry, good memory,
Here is the only Thread found, so far:

It may not be a lotta help … but, FWIW, 73 Vic
