Title: Can the classic 150 auxiliary be used to maintain a 12v battery on my generator?
Post by: Yar on March 15, 2022, 06:08:11 PM
Hi
My classic 150 is currently charging a 48v system. Can the classic 150 auxiliary be used to maintain a 12v starter battery on my back-up generator? If it can how would I set it it up?

Thanks

Hi Yar, Welcome to the Forum.

If I am understanding your question correctly, the Aux output, as a voltage source, has a current limit of about 0.2 Amps.  As such, it would not be a good way to (try) to keep a starting battery charged, by a direct connection to the battery.

FWIW, Vic
