Title: A bit worried about my classic 150
Post by: flowirin on March 12, 2023, 11:25:58 PM
Nice sunny day, and it wasn't charging.

So i turned it all off and on again, measured my voltages in various places and turned the PV breaker back on.
It is now going, but with a reduced voltage from the PV. the PV output measures at 64V (and is usually somewhere around there), but the midnite reports 53V, keeps losing time sync and switches between 1.6kw of power and 600w of power.

Has anyone come across this before, and should I worry? there is a faint smell of magic smoke that makes me nervous

so it turned out that the surge breaker had melted, due to the clamp connector coming loose, and the voltage drop was due to that. changed the battery in the MNGP thing and the breaker, and its all working just fine again.
