Title: Firmware update
Post by: littleharbor2 on August 09, 2023, 06:08:17 PM
I haven't updated my Classic 200 in possibly 10 years. Is there any problem with going from that old firmware to the latest?

I don't think there should be any problem
You will want to make sure you know what your settings are or back them up using local status app to restore later.  One thing that won't restore is if you have tweaked the voltage offsets for battery or pv input.
After you do the updates ( both for Classic and MNGP) you should do VMM reset which will erase all the settings so you start out fresh.
All the instructions are on midnite page with the firmware.

Should be fine to update...

If NOT, for some weird reason,  you might write down the versions and dates that can be found on the last STATUS screen.  That way you could go back if need be.
