Title: Stacking Rosies
Post by: offgridfarmer on May 12, 2024, 09:54:04 AM
I have been running a single Rosie for the winter and its doing great.  I am about to have a second delivered to stack. Both will have epanels and in the epanel manual there is a digram of how to stack them.  Is this still the best way to wire them together?

Nope. Email support@midnitesolar.com and ask for the interim stacking diagram using 2 standard Rosie Breaker boxes.  You need to disassemble the bypass slider in Rosie-2 and just have 2 60A AC in and AC out breakers ganged.  I gang all 4 by pushing out the brass pin that holds the 2 handles and use a piece of solid #12 copper wire from a piece of #12-2 Romex to gang all 4.

Any news on the 100A Rosie epanel for stacked units?

The ROSIE E-Panel System (MNE300ROSIE-240P) Has Room For An Additional 5 Breakers. The Stacked ROSIE System (MNE300ROSIE-240P100 And MNE300ROSIE-240F) Has Room For An Additional 8 Breakers.

Please post a picture (not a drawing) of the bottom view of the epanel with the bottom cover removed.

I noticed in an older firmware update note on 2023 it mentioned support for four or six stacked Rosie's. Is that supported now, a max of six? One or two is plenty for me but if recommending for larger designs...
