You want your power room to be conditioned space if possible. Lithium can't get below freezing. Since you are also going to have other electronic devices close to the batteries , you will also want to keep them and the batteries from getting too hot.
Noise from fans and buzzing from inverters , blinking led indicators means you probably don't want it sound proofed enough to not bother anyone in other rooms.
You will want wifi or networking for monitoring.
Another building or container not attached to the home is one thing to consider but the garage is okay if you can keep the temps okay .
Australians don't have a lot of cold weather considerations. Just look at some of the videos from there where water heaters and plumbing is outside because it never freezes.
