Visited the site which runs two Classic 150s, yesterday. One of these Classics had the correct day and time, but, on the other, the year had reverted to 2000. The battery breaker has not been turned off since last updating the time. So, reset the year and sent that data to the MNGP.
Visited that site again today. On that same Classic, the time was about 14 hours slow -- it was 12-Noon on Aug 4, but that Classic thought the time was 22hrs34 minutes on 8/3. Again, the battery breaker had not been turned off.
Both of these Classics are running the 6/29/12 Cl FW and MNGP FW.
Seems to me, that even if the Coin-cell battery in the MNGP was dead, that the day, date and time would track actual time, unless the batt breaker was switched off.
Have not pulled the MNGP battery to measure it, look for goo, and have not tried bending the holder contacts on the top.
Perhaps I do not know anything about the circuitry.
Thoughts? Thanks, Vic
Obviously there is some kind of problem there.
The circuitry is supposed to power the clock (RTC) while it is on
and keep the coin cell battery from having to power it.
I will try to figure this out this week.
Thank you for looking into this, Vic !

Hi boB,
Thanks ... not a big deal at this point. The CC still seems to work, and make power ... am using a single CC at this point, using EA.

Right, but it's annoying !! Gotta get to the bottom of that.
Maybe later this week ?
