Title: Grid Sell Parameters & Menu Options
Post by: aaapilot on August 29, 2024, 06:23:14 PM
Now that Grid Sell Alpha firmware is out, can we get explanations for the various options please.

System Config has 2 new options: Grid Tied & Grid Interactive ..... how does Rosie operate when they are selected?

I selected Grid Sell & Rosie showed a Neg sign in front of the 'AC IN' number and confirmed backward Utility meter :). The Load (AC OUT) and Grid sell equalled aprox 5000 watts, regardless of the PV In.  Can this sell number be restricted to just excess PV once load is satisfied and other various sell options?  Nice to see it work, but won't leave in Grid-Sell mode until I understand how the settings affect the rest of the system.

Yes, I have an agreement in-place to sell power to the Utility.

THANK YOU MIDNITE for getting this out to the field!  Hope to get you productive feedback.

Dave

So once NRTL testing is completed it will be considered a ul-1741 sb inverter and I can request the Rosie be added to this 1741sb approved inverters list for sell back in NYS?

https://dps.ny.gov/equipment-certified-2011

They specifically ask for:
"Documentation/Certification of testing to UL-1741 SB by an NRTL
Inverter manufacturer cut sheet and/or specification sheet"
