Title: MN3024 "error 58"
Post by: dapdan on September 25, 2024, 09:45:00 PM
All,

setting up a new DIY MN3024 and the orange and red light are flashing at completion of the setup process. There is an error 58 being shown on the display. The manual does not indicate what this errors is. I went through the programming twice and getting the same error result. Any advice would be appreciated.

Nearly forgot, the inverter is only connected to a 1000Ah 24V battery that is connected to another inverter that is running fine. There are no loads, grid input or PV connected to the inverter at the moment. I  was just programming it until I am able to connect loads and PV later.

Reached out to Midnite today for some tech support. Spoke to some wonderful people, Shawn and Michelle, and received some wonderful service.

I was advised that the unit needed a factory reset as error code 58 was one not covered in the manual as this feature for external comms with a bms or charge controller was not being used. The fix required a depression of both arrow keys while cycling the unit on and off. The error was cleared and unit is working as expected without any faults remaining.

Thanks midnite, thanks tech support. All well that ends well.
