Can I mount the MNEDC horizontally? I don't see anything about orientation in Midnite's instructions, but on the breaker itself it says to mount vertically? I use these breakers instead of class T fuses for 24v LifePo4 batteries.
Any help appreciated!

I emailed Midnite support about that very question a while back (actually it was about using them "upside down":
"I am attaching mnedc250s to a lynx power in, the label on the breakers says to install on a vertical surface, just checking I can use them "upside down" but vertical, in case I need to flip the lynx busbar upside down?"
Got two responses:
"I looked at the datasheet for the Carling F style breakers. I did not find any restrictions to mounting "upside down".
"As long as it is wired in a vertical position, and not a horizontal position and the ++ side is one the side of most conductivity, your operation should be just fine."

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like vertical might be necessary. The one thing that makes me not trust the reply you got from Midnite is about the "++ side". My understanding is these breakers are non-polarized so that shouldn't be an issue with these MNEDC breakers. I have these breakers between 24v 280AH batteries and Lynx busbar that connects to my other (7) 280AH batteries (with MNEDC breaker at each 280AH battery)...
Correct the mnedc175 and 250 are non polarized. They are what I use between lynx power in and each LFP battery as well. Cheaper than a decent class t fuse holder and fuse.
So the explanation I always give is mount in any direction as long as the handle doesnt point straight down and studs point up
