I'm having issues with this smart gen control. Our customer's AIO would start up generator and then won't charge batteries...other customer's won't turn off generator when battery are full. Other issues related is inv will start up gen and won't charge if battery is lower then settings; battery; discharge-charge %. Any suggestions?
Had the same thing this weekend. Lower your settings for the generator max power. Rick suggested that to me this morning and will be trying to push that through to the inverter, if the snow stops and the sun charges the batteries to turn back on. Otherwise I'll be taking a trip back later this week. This system has a 14kW Kohler and it has not been kicking on at the 40% SOC and charging. 2 days ago gen was running and didn't shut down. this morning the battery was dead, according to the app and LED display in the front of the battery. This is weird, when I used my meter to test battery voltage, the AIO came on and the gen fired up. But was not charging. Place was empty so I shut off the gen so I could get some answers. Like I said, will be testing the theory later in the week.
if everything was dead.... what was temp of batteries ? if <32F, they will not allow charge until they warm up. I dunno if the battery/charge logic would send 500watts to battery heater first, or not ?
