Title: Classic 200 and moving around in the menu's
Post by: Rngr275 on October 16, 2012, 02:15:33 PM
I had my sytem in stalled a month or so ago a so far so good ( 2 Classic 200's, 4Kw of PV, + all the other goodies). My installer didn't have a lot of time to spend with me going over the charge controller and I want to become intimatley familiar with it (he did all the set points/programming). I have been reading the manual but it is not the clearest manual to follow. What I want to do is see/check the set points for charging (Bulk/absorb/float and EQ) and any other setting without messing or changing anything. Menu button then left/rt arrows to move to battery ot charging or where? Could someone direct me to where I can find all of the Ending amp/voltage/time set points for the different types of charging)? Without imploding my system?

OK, so you found the voltage set points in the volts menu.

To go back one menu, press the menu button.  Each time it will bring you
back one menu until it stops at the main menu item of "Charge"

So, the volts are in the volts sub-menu of charge and the timers are in
the ChgTime sub menu of CHARGE (titled "BATTERY MENU")

In the ChgTime menu, if you press the Soft-Right key, it will show you
how much time is left in any particular charge stage.  For example, if you
were in the Absorb charge cycle (battery is at the Absorb set point voltage),
the timer will be counting down usually towards zero.  When it hits zero minutes/
seconds, it will go to Float...  You can view those timers in Hours:Minutes or
Minutes:Seconds by pressing the Soft-Right key in the timer view sub menu.
To get back one menu (the timers set menu), press the MENU button once.

OR, to go back one menu, press the STATUS menu and then the MENU button.
Pressing MENU (or MAIN MENU as it is labelled), takes you back one menu up
until the main menu "CHARGE" is reached which is the "Home" menu spot.

The Ending amps and Re-Bulk voltages are in the EndAmps sub menu (both are defaulted
to OFF or disabled by their very low values.

Input/Output current limits and minimum/maximum temperature compensated voltages.
T-Comp sub menu is how many millivolts per degree-C of temperature compensation
will be followed for the battery temp comp if the temp probe is installed.
In that same T-Comp menu, if you press the soft-right key (upper right key) you
can view the present battery target voltage that the Classic is looking for at the moment.

So, if it went to Float, that voltage would be different than if it were in Bulk/Absorb or EQ
for example.

Moving the right or left arrow keys will of course highlight the field you would be
adjusting when you press the up or down keys.

Hope this helps some.
