Title: Raspberry Pi running COMBOX code
Post by: Wizbandit on September 30, 2025, 09:41:07 AM
If anyone with experience setting up and running a Raspberry 3B+ minimum wants to beta test my COMBOX Code you need to let me know.  It will require Armbian Noble: https://www.armbian.com/rpi4b/

Server version should be all you need.

This is not a DIY project for those without Raspberry Pi and LINUX experience.
You will need a CANBUS adapter, either a USB or HAT that provides CAN0

I can install the driver for this one remote.

DSD Tech also makes a RS485 adapter that works to monitor the Former MNS-AIO10K

I have one beta site running test code.

You will need to setup Port Forwarding in your router to allow me remote access to upload the files.
Classic SL is not supported yet (But I have basic code to work with the Follow-Me jacks)

If you want the nifty display you need a I2C OLED Model "sh1106 OLED"

Nice job on that combox software Jim. It looks good.
I have moved most of my monitoring over to Home Assistant these days.
I can poll the Classic modbus right from Home Assistant .
I don't have a Rosie so don't need to do that right now.
But this winter if I have time I will give your code a try - too busy right now with garden harvest and installing some new batteries for my system.
