Title: Vendors are STILL calling AIO a Midnite Solar product!!!
Post by: openplanet on October 10, 2025, 02:09:29 PM
Virtually all vendors continue referring to the AIO as the "Midnite Solar AIO." As a result many people who are committed to Midnite Solar products for their engineering and build quality are unknowingly buying a Chinese product not engineered or manufactured by MNS.

Yes, I realize that MNS had much to do with the lower compartment (breakers etc.), but still. And it's my understanding that SRNE, the Chinese outfit that makes virtually all AIOs, stole this design enhancement and is incorporating it into other AIOs.

I absolutely don't understand why MNS hasn't contacted all the vendors and told them in no uncertain terms to change "Midnite Solar" to "Midnite Power" on their sites, and to make clear what the distinction is. There must be some people who, if they knew, would chose to buy, for example, Rosie+HawkesBay rather than the AIO even given the higher cost and slightly less functionality.

Given the MNS / MNP falling out, this puzzles me very much. Thoughts? Thanks.
