Wondering if anyone that was having constant drop offs of the classic and network connection has seen this issue go away with the newest firmware? Or is the issue still showing up?
Ryan
Ryan;
Mine has been rock solid since 1181. I had some improvement with new network gear (router and switch) before but it was still a bit flaky with 1072. Rock solid now, however.

Ryan, Mine drops out alot. As a matter of fact it's out right now. If I exit off and let sit for a few minutes, it will log back on but you have to wait and give it time.

Could you try connecting the Classic directly to the computer rather than through a router or switch ?
It does appear that some routers/switches can play a part in this.
You will need to change the PC to static and of course the Classic as well to get the two to talk
directly.

My one classic read all zeros for everything in the network menu. Ip address... everything. Unfortunately I don't know what it said before the upgrade.
The one that I have connected to my wireless router drops our of the Local app quite often. It happens usually when I am switching into the live or dat tab/window.

There seems to be a problem, sometimes, with the live data display. Something panics, an error message briefly flashes in local apps window and
the Classic disconnects. UNKNOWN in minimised local app screen then that disappears too. Need to shut local app and wait about 30 minutes and restart.

Are you guys setting your IP address to Static ?? Try that. Also, try setting that Static IP address to something that is
outside of its DHCP IP address range. This may help a lot.
Also, we are hearing that in some systems, the port can be an issue as it looks like something may be overwriting
port 502 and in and around that port number area. You may want to try an IP port of something above
port 1024. Maybe 1502 ? 2502 ? 3502 ? Something like that.
Sorry I don't have a more scientific answer than that for port assigning except to say not to
assign an already known used port.
But you would think that if nothing else is on the network other than the Classic, nothing should
keep it from talking.

I was using the beta firmware just prior to this release and had constant network issues, but since upgrading to the latest production firmware it's all been solid, no drop outs or disconnection issues. I'm polling the classic every 5 minutes 24/7 and it's been fine for a week now.
