Title: 250 Classic is in resting mode, I can't get it out of resting mode
Post by: dbower9077 on March 23, 2026, 05:08:50 PM
Need to get it out of "Resting Mode"

Current system is used to add a wind component to my solar power system.  1600 watt Missouri Wind and Solar 48 Volt generator with 3 blades. The classis is hooked onto a DC Buss Bar that feeds power to a Victron Shunt that monitors the batteries.  I have 3 Victron 1000 Lynx Distributors running 2 Quatro 48/10000/120 Inverters.  Currently 9400 watts of solar, but I plan on adding 3000 more soon.

We had high winds and the lights started flickering and I was getting major deviation on the power coming off the wind turbine (between 250 and 700 watts due to gusts).  I shut down the incoming power from the turbine then the power from the batteries to see if I could reboot my 250 Classic.  It came back on in a "resting mode".  The left two wires( both black) from the battery show power coming into the Classic.  The Left 2 main wires (one black, one red) that go to the wind turbine show no power in or out.  Need some help please.  see photos

Thanks.

I am assuming your solar is on a different controller. If the solar is holding the battery voltage higher than whatever setpoint you have for your Classic wind controller, it will show resting.
What are the absorb and float setpoints for your wind , and what are the setpoints for your solar ?

Your transistors are shorted out, to get it out of RESTING will cost you about $200...
