Title: Midnite Classic 200 displaying a screen I can't find in the manual
Post by: Kenneth S. on August 08, 2026, 06:05:57 PM

I am helping a friend with their off-grid solar system, and they just sent me a photo of the screen of their Midnite Classic 200. I don't know what this screen means, and I can't find any reference to it in the manual. I was already suspicious that the root cause of their problem was in the classic. Is this a normal debug screen of some kind, or is this a sign there is a problem?

no it is not the normal screen you would generally see on the Classic.
It might have gotten into  a debug , or modbus mode somehow.
Does that screen stick around if they repower their Classic ?
On the MNGP there should be some status screens and the menu screens for setup , none of which look like that.
If restarting the Classic doesn't get rid of it, might be time to try  a factory reset.

That is a debug screen that takes a button combination to enter into, Press status 1x and it should return to the main screen

Any idea how the screen could have gotten to this state? The Owner says he hasn't touched the buttons since I visited him last; he just found the Midnight Classic in this state.

Holding LEFT ARROW and ENTER at the same time brings up this screen. TOP Center number is RFR aka Reason For Resting so we can see what is making the Classic REST aka Not Charging.

111 is normal Power Up wait for sun.
