Title: Simple explanation of MNBCM readout
Post by: moosenugget on March 17, 2013, 10:05:40 PM
I am new to MidNight products and this forum. I recently purchased a used Winnebago that has the battery capacity meter MNBCM connected to the coach batteries in addition to solar panels and a Sunsaver solar controller. Do you have any documentation that will help me understand what the MNBCM readout is telling me in comparison to the battery charge indicator on the Winnebago system monitor panel. The bcm readout varies from green to yellow to red while the Winnebago indicator never varies from showing full charge.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

moosenugget;

The info on the MNBCM units is over here:

http://www.midnitesolar.com/products.php?menuItem=products&productCat_ID=27&productCatName=Battery%20Capacity%20Meters (http://www.midnitesolar.com/products.php?menuItem=products&productCat_ID=27&productCatName=Battery%20Capacity%20Meters)

Brochure, High Resolution photo & Manual in PDF format.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. I looked over the information and I think I need to search Winnebago forums to learn what their battery indicator is showing so I can understand why the bcm reads differently.
