Title: MidNite Classic
Post by: Herman on April 25, 2017, 08:50:45 PM
Hi Guys

I am about to get a second hand MidNite (2) Classic well actually brand new which I have thinking about setting up as follow me with the MidNite (1) that goes to my 48 VDC NiFe bank. Would allow me to use two different types of solar panels  as i have 10 of the same to (1) and will have 12 of the same to (2) and with it setup as follow me  this would also increase my power pumping into th NiFe cells.

The reasoning behind this would be to get enough charge into my cells before loss of sunlight so I will be asking for help doing this

Sounds like a plan as long as your batteries have the capacity to take all the amps you will be dumping into them.
I don't know much about NiFe batteries but just looked up the specs.
It says they charge at C/5 rate .
So how large is your battery capacity and how many amps would all your PV be capable of ?
