Post by: CDN-VT on January 24, 2018, 01:46:03 AM
All i find are ones that are lite when off or show you a night light . I need these to show the folks that the light is on & the light / unit / what ever is on & it's not needed .

I go into Lowes , home  @ the rest & it's a waste of time.
Then im told the normal " They don't make them " I have 3 in service .
called Pilot Switches ,, but i don't need huge commercial style , they are for pantry's rooms etc .

Help me find a source of toggle or decor type

120Vac  60 Hz for USA & CDN.

I can find them on USA Amazon, But who really has them .
https://www.amazon.com/Leviton-5631-2T-120-Volt-Illuminated-Single-Pole/dp/B0039PXE9W/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1516939430&sr=8-3&keywords=light+switch+illuminated+when+on

Many are for night viewing , and for a off grid setup  , I would call that a parasitic draw  .

VT ... are these switches inside or outside the room? I am thinking you want these to be outside the room?... ie if you were inside the room you would know it is on..
Why not wire the additional LED into the circuit and place outside the room...  power on LED on...

Thanks Folks , I ended up installing in a 120Vac Diode into the plate cover . I needed a toggle type due to the hands are full sometimes & a flick up . I was told from the "Wifes" what was acceptable.

I just need to not find a LED bulb on for days !!

Timer switches work well for that problem.  We had them in lots of our mechanical rooms at work . Just push he button for on and they will go off in whatever time you have them programmed for .

VT,   the following may not work in all situations,   but it is an Edison-base (screw-in) LED bulb,  with a built-in Motion Detector that keeps the bulb ON,   until about five minutes of no motion:

Have used this exact bulb in an old house,   where the light switch was too far away from the main travel path,    works great.

Great & I'll buy a few . and test

With non electrical woman , (Wife & friends)  , and a load not needed , I/we all need to tread so no one gets upset  . So Im hoping this won't wink with a searching inverter .

I did install a LED lamp beside the toggle & in the switch plate on 3 . cheap & no gripes yet
