Title: MNPV-6 standard to 250?
Post by: Eric L on February 21, 2012, 09:49:58 PM
I bought a 'standard' MNPV6 combiner box but I now realize should have bought the -250 version.  :o   I have 3 of the MNEPV-300 breakers as required for my array according to my Classic 200 CC.

It looks like the standard 6-tab bus bar would work and the breakers will fit, IF I cut off the 1st, 3rd, and 5th tabs on the bus bar, so that only the - side of the breakers is connected to the bus bar.

Would it be o.k. to make these cuts? Or do I need a new bus bar or (if the bar can't be purchased separately), a new combiner box (the -250)?

Thank you!

Eric I am afraid there will not be room to access the 3 inputs if you do as described. The 250 bussbar has longer lehs to make room to wire the breakers. This bussbar can be purchased separately. Our part number is MNPV12-250 BUSBAR

Let me know if you have any trouble finding it.
