Title: thank you
Post by: Trukinbear on November 26, 2020, 02:30:35 PM
As a direct descendent of three of the original Mayflower passengers I'd like to say:
400 years ago my ancestors were NOT having a great feast at Plimoth - they were cold, hungry, confused, and ill, filled with a great sense of doom and uncertainty. Remember, these were not rugged frontier people, they were an ill-equipped bunch headed for New Amsterdam (New York City) and that was as far as they could make it - the rugged New England coast at the start of winter. They didn't have any of the stuff you'd have brought with you if you expected to carve an existence out of the wilderness. Half of them would be dead by this time the next year. Please remember them when you sit down to your feast of plenty today.
Happy Thanksgiving, to you, your family, and your family of friends from all of us here at Guitars4cancer. Thank you for being a part of our lives, for that we are thankful this year.
