Title: smaller Lithium battery combiners such as (4) 100Ah (50A max charge/discharge)
Post by: solar-er on November 28, 2021, 01:09:14 PM
two part question:
1- maybe should be in breakers thread... but with new non-polarity din-rail available, what would the advantage be of din-rail vs panel-mount for battery disconnect? (excluding the advantage of 1/4 post connection)
Could I use a MNPV6 with din-rail to connect (4) LiFePO rated at 50A max discharge to combine upstream of the MNEDC250 inverter disconnect ? Or maybe the BigBaby ?

2- perhaps this should be in the NewProduct Thread.
Is there a plan for smaller Battery Combiners (Lithium or other)? I'm installing systems with only 3-6 batteries,
50-100Ah (30-50A max rate). some Lith brands do not have switch or OCP intergral to battery. When paralleling these, over-current protection is recommended. And using fuses is just so inconvenient old tech.

For batteries, I would want to go with the panel mount just for the studded terminals .
Much better connections.
