Title: System diagram for Jakecroft (B.C. Canada)
Post by: Rob Linschoten on April 20, 2022, 08:40:07 PM
Rather than photos, I thought it might be more helpful to have an "as built" system diagram. We are totally off -grid. Our own (rain)water, (wood) heat and power. Diesel, propane and gasoline come by barge. No septic (composting toilet). This diagram is a few months out of date, but still pretty accurate. The pond for the hydro generator is used for fire fighting in the summer months...

Cheers

R.

Thank you!

We bought the property in 2007 but did not move there till 2017. Not much there in way of any infrastructure.
I had some help with the PV system install on the roof, but the rest is my labour, inccluding all the trenching.

The system diagram has been more of an effort than the actual system itself. LOL. I use Visio and Photoshop to maintain the drawing. In Visio you can zoom in to see the actual screens and labels on the controllers, part numbers on the relays, etc.

Just to confirm I'm not blowing smoke, I've just added  photos of the first 3 Classics being assembled and tested in my shop, and then mounted in our "engine room"

Thank you.   I printed it out on a 17 x 22 sheet and mounted it over by the inverters. When I shuffle off my mortal coil it will hopefully be of some assistance to the poor sod that tries to maintain/repair the system...

I tried to hyperlink the digital version of the drawing so clicking on each item would open a pdf service manual, but that turned out to be wayyy too much work to keep updated.
