Title: Two MNGP2s in a system?
Post by: Kent0 on December 05, 2023, 10:00:57 AM
Maybe this is a dumb question but I looked through the manuals and haven't found the answer. Is it possible to have two MNGP2s in a system? Would like to have one in the power shed by Rosie and a second one at the house.

Hi Kent !

Yes, you can have 2 MNGP2s

We have a system that has, I think, like, 4 MNGP2s running.

Kind of over-designed the auxiliary power supplies.

The only issue I see, well maybe two, if the cable is too long the 9V the MNGP2 needs may not have 9V and it may not work, second is lightning strike close will zap all the canbus devices, Rosie and 2 MNGP2's not covered by warranty.  The power issue is easy, an external plug in wall wart with built-in terminators, not a Midnite Product (yet) but the schematic could be made up in 15 minutes.
