VariMax

I tried VariMax out today but it didn't perform how I would have expected. The minimum time was set to 2 hours and the maximum was set to 5 hours. After the 2 hour minimum was met it went immediately to float. My end amp setting was not met. Why did it ignore the maximum time setting for absorb and go to float?

I am sure it is something I am doing wrong or misunderstanding. Thanks for any advice.
