Ok i have set rebulk days to 7 on my classics but i noticed that they never actually skip the days the were set for. What settings do i have wrong?it just keeps going through the normal bulk-absorb-float cycle every day like i didn't set anything

Do you mean day between BULK?  see here http://midniteforum.com/index.php?topic=1541.msg13045#msg13045

Hi mahendra,

The ReBulk setting should be the battery voltage at which a New Bulk will be initiated on a given charge cycle.   That is to say,  when the battery voltage drops to/below this voltage a new Bulk starts.   Believe the default voltage setting for RB is 8.

You are probably looking for the number of days skipped for an Absorption stage.   This is accessed in the Charge main menu.   Scroll over and down for the Advanced submenu,  The Skip days are on the right side.

This function will work without or with the WBjr,  with the latest FW -- 10/4/13 IIRC.

my firmware is up-to- date, and yes i am referring to days .My rebulk voltage is set at 12 and my rebulk day?skip days (if remembered correctly on the setting window) is set at 7 -

OK mahendra,

OK,  now I see why you are referring to Skip days as ReBulk ..  ReBulk is just to the left of the Skip day setting and count-down in the Advanced submenu.

So,  do you see the days remaining number count down during the charge cycle for each successive day?

Is the clock set,  and keeping time?

One system here uses a 3 day full-charge interval,  and has the WBjr,  and the other system uses a 7 day interval,  and has no WBjr installed yet.   Both of these systems do the day skip correctly.

There might be one of the less common optional settings that might keep the charge day from changing.   Forget weather you have Wind or Hydro,  also charging the batts.   Vic

so the number of days (lower left corner under the day amount setting) is not counting down
once every 24 hours ?   That is kind of weird.

Do you have the "Re-Bulk" setting set to some high voltage ?  I can't remember exactly if that
is set to a high voltage if it trumps the bulk day counter or not.  I'll look tomorrow.

i would still like the info on proper setting parameter though Bob thanks.

mahendra,

I am NOT boB,   but assume that you were referring to how to determine a good setting for ReBulk voltage ...

If that is the case,  it all depends.
Normally,  there would be one (or fewer) charge cycles per day.  ReBulk,  allows for additional charges per day,  when the battery voltage drops to the number of volts set in the RB display.

For those with medium or large-sized battery capacity,  most often  the default of 8 (V)  is unchanged.   Sometimes,  especially for smaller battery banks,  very large loads  of frequent cloud events,  the user might want to recharge the battery a second or even third time on a given day.

In these cases,  the user needs to decide the correct voltage for that RB to occur,  and this value may well change from week-to-week,  or month,  depending upon demands on the battery,  and the availability of RE charging power.

It is not uncommon for those with larger battery banks to avoid recharging every day,  let alone more than once per day.

An ambiguous answer to a question filled with gray.

Also,  IMHO,  less confusion will result if ReBulk  is this voltage setting,  rather than Skip(ped) days between Absorption stages,  as ReBulk has a long history of being ONLY a voltage setting (in my experience).   Not to pick too much.    Opinions,    Good Luck,   Vic

i understand fully Vic and thank you but my system is only to compliment my grid power and i  monitor it closely .I do not used it on rainy or cloudy day unless needed  .If i do it is only for short periods and light loads, thus my battery voltages has never gone below 12.3 with loads as matter of fact it has only see 12.3 only when a heavy equipment may be turned on and no or minimal charge amps .
