Live Data date selection

Ever since I first started using LA, the live data tab does not let me select a date.  It's permanently fixed to Nov. 3, 2013.  The current date shows correctly to the left of the calendar box, but the calendar popup does not let me select any other date.  The left and right arrows underneath the graph are also grayed out and unclickable.  I did a quick search through this forum and it's obvious that this is working for others - but it has never worked for me.  A similar question was asked 18 months ago, but there was no direct answer - maybe an update fixed it.  Just updated to 3.60 today and still has same problem.

I was wondering whether my custom date setting in Windows is the culprit, and have played with that to no avail (though I haven't rebooted the computer between times, so maybe AIR needs that to reread date format?).

Anyone know what's going on?

Do you have "Enable Data Logging" checked? It sounds like there is no data to view.

Unfortunately the Local App also only logs data when it's running so you have to keep it running if you want it to capture data. Offline data does not suffer from the same problem, though.

I keep an XP virtual machine up 24x7. I can VPN in and check my system out from anywhere

Haven't seen this problem before. Do you have something selected to chart? So what is your custom date setting in Windows? Data has to be logged for the date to be highlighted on the calendar. Once you have a highlighted date on the calendar selected the left and right arrow keys should work. Are you saying you can not advance the months on the calendar, that it is stuck on Nov 2013?

Does the offline data work?

Andrew would be the best one to respond to this.

BTW the calendar function is active whether data logging is enabled or not on my LA.

Like Stuman, I also have  XP netbook in the powershed dedicated to logging from the Classic.  Then I use my Mac and android tablet  to remote into XP box over WIFI, and view all the action. Works great for me.

I do the same with a Windows 7 laptop that runs the Amatuer radio repeater. I can log in to it remotely and see the local app and all its data

This thread has 2 or 3 user solutions for accessing the Local App by VPN or other remote methods.

I am wanting to use the Local App over the internet. It is a no go to get a Static IP and all the port forwarding process as stated in the manual. So both Classic 150's via the network are set to DHCP. The system has run flawlessly on My Midnite daily over internet via a DLink Router and the Local App when on site. 12 months all working 100%. Thank you Ryan.

Assuming I have a laptop running Vista 32 on site with usual power options and updates set up. Can anyone give me a good system for remote access to the Local App for 'Tweaks' and better monitoring. As the site is 1500 miles away from UK to S. Spain I guess reliability is the name of the game. Although MyMidnite will remain the same I hope as backup.

Any advice gratefully received.

Neil.
