Is the Classic 250KS still available? Its not listed in the products list of main MN web site and I can't find anyone selling it. Or is it special order?
I have a 120V set of batteries being delivered soon, ten by 12v 350Ah AGMs and I would like to experiment with a 120V DC configuration being charged by PVs
I'm also a bit confused by AltE advertising the 250KS at the seemingly low price of $525.
Why such a low price compared to the other models of Classic?

The production of KS chargers has been discontinued.
We still continue to support existing controllers as well as update the firmware for them when a new FW version comes out.

That being said, we may very well re-continue with a 120V battery version when we come out with a different (larger) controller in the future.

You can also use two or more lower voltage controllers on sections of the battery bank.  Like, two 60 volt sections.
You do have to be careful not to tie the negatives together on the different charge controllers though and absolutely have to use  RS232 isolation of networking them together except for Ethernet which is already transformer isolated.

The Ethernet shield connects to negative rather than chassis ground though so don't tie those to the Ethernet casing at the Classic end.  That shield should probably have been connected to chassis in the first place.

Thanks boB.
I have a few Classic 150s on the way so I will try your suggestion of charging the 120v bank with two 150s (or maybe this may be an application for a pair of KIDs as charging current will be well below 30A ?).
I need to keep the battery configuration at 120V as the inverter supplied with them is a 120vDC input
