I'm running a Classic 200 and Classic Lite 200 in Follow-Me with 3kW of panels on each controller. The Lite is constantly running the Turbo fan - even at night with an ambient temperature of 10degC where it's installed.

During the day I heard the main fans cycling on and off, but not sure if this was both controllers or not. Any ideas on what to look at? Should I reset the Lite and start from the beginning or could this be a hardware failure (Lite was only installed yesterday)? Any pointers much appreciated.

Perhaps should add that I'm running October 2013 firmware - on my list to update this ASAP.

I seem to recall some folks getting the constant "on" fan from a pinched fan wire when putting on the cover?

It is easy to pinch it as it is right on the top edge of the unit and can stick over the lip.

First thing I would check.

I also have a Classic light that does the same and yes did check the wires and the solder wire in the board not touching case did disconnect the neg and only positive and shut off so no short in negative wire need help or do I have to ship RM number? thanks this is about the third classic from factory had to ship back thanks for repairs and getting them fix so soon Mike

OK - so have had all apart. All wiring for Turbo fan and displays are fine (no shorts or damaged cable).

Connecting the display to the Lite, both internal temperatures show 0.0. On the Classic these are both around 40degC. What now - worth trying to reset the Lite and start again, or do I have a defective unit?

Also have a problem with the addressing. Ideally want to be able to use the MNGP to view both the Classic and the Lite. I've tried setting the Lite to address 11, and I get the "data sent to controller" followed by "address is now 11". But when I put the MNGP back on the Classic and the MNLP on the Lite address 11 is "unused"? Is this issue unrelated, or are both caused by a hardware problem?

Yeah, either a pinched wire OR maybe even a shorted fan enable transistor that is located on the top control PCB.

Have you looked at the temperatures either on an MNGP or the local app to make sure they are not out of whack ?
