I have been having intermittent dropouts on MyMidnite with 2096  with auto reset off
- don't think it is internet related on my end - possible though
outages according to history on MyMidnite are

April 11 , 5:42 resting   to  April 11 , 14:48 absorb
April 14,  8:52 absorb   to  April 14,   17:57 float
April  16  14:59 absorb to April 17,    00:10 resting
April 17    12:00 bulk    to April 17       21:05 resting
April 18  19:38  resting to April 19   4:42 resting
April 21   1:46 resting  to  April 21 10:50  absorb

I will probably go back to previous firmware to see if it quits - hadn't had any dropouts on that with auto reset On . I don't see why auto reset would make any difference on this new firmware since the dropouts come and go on their unrelated to time.

Do you mean that April 12th and 13th and 20th it was off-line and was working the rest of the time ?

It was off for the hours between the two times listed on each line .
So it was online no problems April 12, and April 20
Here is the April 21 dropout example

I am starting to wonder if it is a router issue on my end causing this.
Recently I have been working on a LaCrosse  weather station on a netbook running linux ubuntu and using Weewx program for a web interface and had to open some ports on three routers which is the pipeline for internet to me. On one of them I had to change the router address and had put the Classic back on DHCP instead of Static address.  Though I am pretty sure these dropouts may have predated the weather station work.
I just noticed that the MyMidnite was off and I couldn't get into Local Status app either - so I put Classic back on Static address and everything is good again for now.

In case anyone is interested  - this is my weather station

Now that I have my feet wet in beginners world of linux - maybe I can figure out how to put some data from the Classic on that same webpage.

Generally speaking if the classic is the culprit it will not repair itself unless you reboot it. I suspect network issues or My Midnite issues are the cause
