Is this the right solution for me?

I have some questions and concerns and want to get it right the first time if at all possible.
This unit will accept up to 15Kw of solar input at up to 600VDC
It will make 10KW of AC with it?
On a peak production day, the surplus 5Kw is only going to charge batteries, other DC loads?
If I have that right, then if I go much above 12Kw of panel I would best be doing some self consuming from the battery bank to take full advantage?
I will eventually be on the grid here with a net metering agreement.
Initially I want to run standalone off the grid with one or two of the PowerFlo 16s.
If I need more PV capacity my plan is to add some microinverter strings to make more capacity for the grid tie action.
This unit will readily handle my backup needs in the event of a power outage. The smart load breakers are handy for that.

 I think that inverter has ability to be able to turn extra loads on and off at whatever you program that for , so to use up extra  pv power you just turn on an AC load of some sort. But I don't have one of those inverters and haven't studied the manual.

Thanks Larry. this new house is big and I suspect that 12~13KW of panels is not going to wipe out my annual power usage. That is why I want to understand it properly.
I don't see a need to run paralell units, just have the means of adding some direct grid tie to fill the gap.
