EQ Done does not seem to clear

With the 6/29 Firmware, EQ Done does NOT seem to ever clear.  Might expect it to remain until the next SR or wake-up.

Recently did an EQ,  a few weeks after the previious one,  and the Stage display on the MNGP Status screen of that CC toggled twix "EQ Done"  and  "EQ MPPT"  ...  never did get enough sun to progress to "EQ" ,  so manually terminated the EQ.

When should an completed EQ "Done"  status be cleared?

Not a biggie.  Another thread made me curious about clearing previous status messages in general,  but the above may not apply to anything other than but EQ.
Thanks,  Vic

I think it clears either until you press a key or until the next morning wakeup.

You should also be able to look at minutely/hourly/recent history to see if it was in EQ for as long
as you thought it should have been.

....  Which just made me think of another daily logging item that could be added...   Time spent in EQ !  That would also
have told you what happened as far as EQ in the last few weeks or months...

Hi boB,

Thanks ...   Well I always manually initiate,  and then monitor any EQ.  I knew that the previous EQ had run to completion,  and terminated at the duration set.

Believe that the "EQ Done"  had never cleared,  or returned when selecting a new EQ cycle manually.  In any case  I initiated a NEW EQ,  and the MNGP's display of current charge stage would toggle between "EQ Done"  and EQ MPPT.

This in not a big deal,  and in this case knew that the previous EQ ahd completed,  as I saw it happen,  and also that the current EQ did not make it to the EQ V set.

Agree,  that the total time in EQ could be helpful for those who let the CC automatically run EQs.

At this point,  I do not remember if the display was toggling twix EQ Done and Float,  before the new EQ cycle was initiated.  My belief is that it was not doing this until the new EQ was initiated ... and this system is not where the Internet is,  so,   I cannot just pop out to test it again.

I suppose that perhaps the Classic is doing just what you intend,   allowing those who  let the  CC do automatic EQs know that the EQ WAS done ...  but seems a bit ambiguous ...  dunno.   NBD  here.

Can this EQ message be manually cleared?   Thanks,  Vic

Displaying EQ DONE  and EQ MPPT  is not right.   I will look into that.  Do you know how long the voltage was actually in EQ ?
Did it start a new EQ after it really did complete ?  What version of MNGP and Classic firmware again ?

When getting the toggling of EQ done and EQ MPPT, if you press a button, say, enter in main status, does the EQ DONE  message
stop displaying at least ??

Thanks for the input !

boB,

SRI to belabor the point.

I assume that the EQ Done was from the previous EQ,  about 10 days or 2 weeks prior.  This prior EQ  was 60 minutes  at set voltage and the Classic terminated it on time.

Since I always reset the EQ timer to 00 after the EQ is complete,  did navigate twix Charge menu and Status.

Let's say that I should get to that site in the next couple of days,  and get better info on just when EQ Done is displayed ...  I cannot recall if the current CC Stage/Mode display always toggles twix EQ Done and present charger stage at all times of not.   Thanks,   Vic

OK Vic.   But the display shouldn't toggle between EQ Done and EQ MPPT  I don't think.

Hmmm...   Maybe if you went from status when EQ Done was displaying and then hit the Menu key
to go to CHARGE and start another EQ and then back to Status again that the Menu and
Status keys didn't reset the EQ Done message....   Maybe...    I thought those two
buttons would reset the EQ Done message but maybe not ??

Thanks for looking at this though.

What do you mean when you say you reset the EQ time to 00 ??  Do you always keep the
EQ time to 00 hours :  00 minutes when not EQing or something like that ??

YES,  that is it.  I just like to make cetain that an EQ only is done in the presence of a human,  OR myself.

Am sure that this is not required.  I don't suppose that this has anything to do with this toggling display?

Thanks boB,  Will advise,    Vic
