I skipped several firmware upgrades and now I have a issue with voltage sets not being followed.
I just installed 1849 for Classic and MNGP but voltages are about .4 volt above desired settings.
I have done several VMM's with arrow keys to no effect. I remember seeing it somewhere.

IIRC you hold down the < and > soft keys simultaneously for several seconds...
all settings revert to factory...
sounds like you know your settings by heart though, so no worries... :D

WB,

There is another method that does a "hard reset" that involves powering down, removing two jumpers on main board , powering up , then replacing jumpers.  It does the same thing but on a hardware level. I was hoping that this would reset all to factory defaults.

I keep charts as to sets as I use my Classic on several battery banks that require different sets.

I have tried the left arrow- right arrow method but the values stored are not respected

I have voltage leads right from battery and Classic batt volts agree with external meter connected straight to batt banks.

I am suspecting that some register has some old value in it as it was tracking very well before 1849

that jumper method is mentioned by boB in the thread I have ongoing about updating the FW... trouble I had is big fingers and small spaces... and low light, so need reading glasses.

The software and hardware versions of the restore do the same thing. So if this is not a Lite I would use the arrows.

to do a "Factory Restore" or a "Quick Start". To do this first turn the battery and solar power to the Classic off. Next, turn the battery power back on while holding the Left and Right arrows. Hold the arrows until the first "Solar, Wind or Hydro" screen pops up. Follow the on screen prompts and continue setup. Note: This will reset all settings to factory defaults. You will need to reset any custom settings such as Aux 1 and 2. You may want to write these settings down for reference prior to resetting the Classic.

The VMM is:

Power down the Classic. Hold the < > keys down and power up. Hold < > down until the Solar Wind Hydro set up screen appears. Answer the questions and Bobs yer uncle.

Are you sure that those voltages arent just temp compensation? Sounds about like it  to me. FAQ.
