Yep, It is very sad. I unfortunately do not see it getting better any time soon?

Luckily I live in the middle of no where in Maine. We get to do damn near anything we want as long as it doesnt kill some one else

Sad story indeed.

Even though my installation looks like an endless deck painting operation to the casual observer and I'll never attempt to grid-tie it, if we do get resistance from the status-quo corps, we plan to pull up stakes and take our knowledge with us.

Otherwise, I'm replacing 1 circuit, & 1 application at a time.

However, in our area, even if you use zero electricity, since part of the bill is a flat rate, there still will be a sizable electric bill.  And everyone should stay happy.

here is grid power 36.00 per 2 month winter , and the total cost is 190.00 for the bill of add on's
