Mike,

Lithium today versus Lead-Acid is a lot different in terms of pricing than what you found when you bought your batteries.

I'm specifically looking at 3.2V 280Ah Rechargeable LiFePo4 Batteries.  16 of them are $1889 at my door.  Two strings are 28,672 WHr by my math at a cost of $3778.  To that, I would need to add the cost of a BMS which is TBD at the moment.  At an ~80% discharge threshold, our use capacity is similar.

From the pricing I have done, mainly with L16 batteries, there is no way I can come close to that capacity for a similar cost.  Not to mention the complexity of storage for servicing and the connection complexity.

Best Regards,
Sid

I originally stumbled on to these batteries on Aliexpress.com and had a good exchange with Amy about them. Their Alibaba listing is a little more informative IMHO.
.
Also, there is a lot of information and posting on these batteries and Amy Wan on https://diysolarforum.com/resources/luyuan-tech-basic-lifepo4-guide.151/.
