Solar PV array and wind Turbine connected to the same Midnite classic 150?

I read a discussion with the same topic dating to 2012. The answers were inconclusive, but promising. I wonder if anybody here has dug in a bit more into the matter. Will the Midnite Classic 150 be able to handle both sources connected in parallel? In that discussion it was mentioned that the PV array would work as a clipper if the amps of the turbine exceeded the VoC of the array when connected in parallel. Also, they were talking about connecting 2 turbines, not just one, making the tracking more difficult. Any info is appreciated.

The Classic can only be in either Solar Mode or the Wind mode - one at a time .
It wouldn't be able to switch automatically from one mode to the other.

Yeah, you would have to get quiet creative to make both of those work on one Classic.  There would be no wind tracking and using the solar panels as a clipper could very well void your PV warranty by over-currenting them with the wind turbine.

The energy you would increase by would very likely not be worth it unfortunately.

A lot of trying something like this might have more to do with the liability and warranties than not helping at all.

Now, you could make a switch to choose from one mode to the other if the wind is blowing and the sun is not shining and vice versa but a real clipper would be highly suggested even if you switched modes manually.

Watching and switching would get pretty tiring I would think and would not give you as much energy as using separate controllers.
