Hope you all had a great Christmas! Thanks so much for this forum!

With snow on the panels, we've been on gen for over a week. This morning when I got up and started the gen, the Classic had the amber max current light on so I adjusted the Amps in to 5. About the same time I shut the gen off, I noticed the Classic was in FLOAT, but the ME-RC50 was in BULK. The batteries were at 50.2 V. The panels have some exposure today, bringing in about  300 W. Could you guys explain the contradiction with the Classic/ME-RC? And what is the correlation between the two?

Merry Christmas to you !!

Was the 5 amps setting amps input or amps output limit ?

Maybe what happened to make it go to Float was that the generator kept the voltage above Absorb voltage
and even with Ending Amps set to 0.1 amps (minimum for previous software versions), the Classic thought
that it was time to end the absorb early.   If so, you might want to load up the latest firmware that
allows the Ending Amps to be set to 0.0 amps, and this will actually disable Ending Amps and let the
Classic stay in Absorb for the time that is set in Charge Timers menu.   Might be it ??
