Lets say I have 70 volts 7 amps coming in off the array and I have the Lite 150's output current set to 45 amps what will happen? This is into a 12 volt battery bank

Don't quite understand what you are asking  ???
so 490w coming in and you have told the Classic to limit max out current to 45A. At 12v this will be 540w so all of incoming power will be used to charge batteries.
Why would you want to limit output current?

First guess is "small battery bank"? Not wanting to force too much current in ?

Just an idea

Do NOT mistake me for any kind of "expert".

Well I shot the wrong number out there.

Lets say I have 70 volts 7 amps coming in off the array (see attached) and I have the Lite 150's output current set to 24 amps what will happen?

FYI: This is into a 225ah 12 volt battery bank with 3 foot of 10 gauge wire and a 25 amp fuse.

(This is not what will be installed in the RV. I'm in the lab right now (the patio lol).)

Still learnin'

yes.. the obvious I didn't think of   :-[

unyalli;

you are charging about c/10,  as I understand if you set the max output current to less than the input is capable of supplying then
the excess is ignored. The Classic will only take what it needs,  same happens when in absorb and float.
c/5 would be good, but that #10 is a bit thin, maybe #6 or #4

Planning on no more than 6' of awg 4 round trip charger to battery. (3' positive and 3' negative.) I have this http://www.wiringproducts.com/contents/en-us/p4022.html connected to the battery now.
