Question - is it reasonable to move the battery + bus connection point?

I have an MNE125STS and I am installing a GTVX3648.  I notice that the battery cable is intended to connect to the side of the main DC breaker that connects to the "battery plus bus."  That makes me a little uneasy since there will no longer be a single point of disconnect from the battery bank, and any wiring fault between the main 125A breaker and the smaller DC breakers to the charge controllers will be unprotected, and could see whatever the battery bank can supply (which will be a lot.)

Would it be reasonable to move the battery plus bus connection to the inverter side of the main breaker?  So the final configuration would be:

Top of breaker: Inverter + cable, cable to battery plus bus
Bottom of breaker: Battery + cable

You want to be real careful if there is a single point of disconnect. "Some" (Not the Midnite) charge controllers will rail the battery voltage and can actually damage an inverter if they are disconnected from the battery. That is why we did the Epanel that way. The smaller breakers can handle the AIC of the battery so no worries there either
