batt over v

I was testing a 31.5 eq voltage using the inverter and got a batt over v on one of the classics (2).  How do I get rid of that? Do I need to change battery type? if so, how do I do that? dip switch? factory reset and reconfig?

What stage was the Classic in ?   Was it in Float ?   The battery over-V is sometimes lower than you might want it to be.

I am guessing that the Classic is not doing the EQualizing ?

Was using the charger on the inverter. It's two classics in followme. Both were in float, but applying EQ one of them showed a batt over v. The  other stayed in float.

Might I suggest checking the voltage offsets in the tweaks menu?

That could explain it quite easily.

If it was in Follow-Me, the "other" classic (the one in Float) should have gone to EQ after a minute at most.

If it did not follow the EQ Classic, it may be that your phone-cable is backwards.

If you can see the Blue LED behind the air vent, notice if it blinks very short blip or stays on
about a 1/2 second or so.  If it always blinks longer and never blips a real short time, then
the cable is most likely backwards or not making good connection.

If you do not see the blue LEDs  flashing every 5 seconds or so, go to the MISC menu and
set the LED MODE to LED 1  mode which will make the blue LED flash every time the Classic
reads its neighbor or saves memory to EEprom.

What you are seeing is Normal.

So the inverter was charging the battery to a much higher voltage than the Classic so its basically telling you "Hey some body is over charging the battery and it isn't me!"

The Warning should clear when the battery voltage drops back under or equal to the target the Classic was pushing for.
