Interestingly, a new firmware appeared in the production area, but I never saw any posts about it being available, nor any change log.  I am happy to see it, just wondering about it's arrival and what might be changed?

Sure is easy to load the new firmware with just dropping it into the folder.
I loaded up 1797 - none of my settings got lost
Everything looks pretty much the same - except for I don't remember if the last version had
Comms menu that gave the three options
Twin  /  Sync / PC
That might be different

Depending from What Firmware Version you are upgrading from the Settings might or not get reset.

If you are updating from 1742, which it was the last stable revision released to general consumers then it will do a reset.
I suggest writing down your most critical settings before updating just in case.
