Varimax vs Whizbang

Just watched the video for setting up Varimax.

I'm wondering what the settings would be for a 12v system.

But also - it seems to me that if I have my whiz bang set to go to float when I hit 4.5amps into the battery which is the proper setting for my 900ah Lifeline Bank - then why would I need to mess with Varimax?  Wouldn't my controller stay in absorb till it was the proper time to float regardless of time or power usage during the day?  My absorb timer is set to 2.5hrs but I thought the whiz bang amps setting would overrule that.

Be aware that, If using the WB amps to end absorb , the WB amps can / will end the absorb countdown earlier than wanted..

The usual EA is ~1% of battery capacity, (I see you are at .5%...)
this should keep you in absorb for the full 2.5 hrs. UNLESS you have a shading issue &/or are pulling some loads that drops the WB amps below your 4.5A setting...

I have had to lower my EA to .5% and this is still too high due to the load from the fridge dropping the WB amp reading below .5%....  One other way for me to get around the drop in WB amps would be to add more PV...

Ok... this gets more complicated.   The .5% came from the Lifeline Tech Manual for my batteries.

I think I'm going to have to leave my setting alone for a while - get some real world experience using the new system, then see what happens and what questions pop up.  I do have a battery monitor in the RV and use that as my main "fuel gauge"   If I see I drop into float too soon I'll re evaluate.

How does Varimax fit into the equation?   If I got shading and dropped below 4.5amps the Whizbang wants to end absorb.   If I set up varimax would it override the whiz bang?

What version Firmware is on your Classic?  Varimax was removed. The WB jr and end amps replaced it
