I am in ned of assistance from the wind community if I can get it. If anyone had used a skymax or hye 600 in combination with a classic 150. I need the 16 point wind curve data please.

l'tty,

I don't have any experience with these particular mills, but you might try your post on the Otherpower forum and see if there is anyone there who might.  You didn't mention the voltage, but if all else fails you might be a able to start from a comparable size axial-homebuilt, same voltage and work from there.  I know there are some folks who have done Hugh's, or the Dan's machines with a Classic.  The wind graphs are pretty easy to tweak.

Good luck ~ks

Kites.

The voltage is 48 volt on a dual XW 6048 hybrid battery back up systemwith gris tie. We also have  2 mmpt charge controllers pushing 6.3KW as well. I have tried to tweek the power curves with marginal success but I can't seem to get consistent output when I know the wind is blowing consistent at either 15 or 20 mph. Any suggestions for a starting voltage and current will help as would a midpoint  and ending would be great. Just trying to make the most of all the resources available.

Sincerely

Buddy

Ok, I think I figured this out. I used the data from the data log and was able to put together a wind graph for the skymax 600. Thanks to a couple windy days I was able to set the voltage vs current graph tweaked. My initial setting s made the turbine very noisy (great output) but I was able to detune the curve and found a happy medium (output I can live with) I saved the more aggressive graph for the day when there is more wind. Thanks KS for the comments, they helped start me in the right path.

Let us know if you think it is working well and we will add your curve to our wind curve database.

Thanks !
