Wind generator effecting Classic and wiring.

Hi, I notice when my wind generator produces current in a gust for example the input current to the batteries from the Classic reduces.
Would this be because the battery voltage goes up? The wind generator produces about 10 amps.
Also should I wire the wind generator  though the Wbjr? I have it directly on the battery terminals at the moment.
Thanks,

Thats normal, the current out from Classic will reduce if there is another charging source comes on line. You will see this in Absorb and Float stages,
Yes you should rewire so the wind turbine -ve goes to the WBjr instead of directly to the battery

Any problem with running the turbine straight to the battery bank for you?

I set it up at float voltage of 27 volts on the bench but I  think this was too low as it hardly ever went. Maybe voltage drop came into it.
I set it to maximum which is 32 volts and it went alot the. Now I have brought it back by guesswork and its probably at around 28 volts. I have to dro it for each adjustment so might get a separate controller so I can leave it on maximum. One of these: Flexcharge Solar Wind Hydro Turbine Charge Controller. I'll need to put a dump load on the bank but both aux's are used on the Classic so will run it off the wind controller. Seems there is not much use running the turbine when the sun is shining as when it produces the Classic cuts back.
Compaired to the solar, it doesn't output much but we like to see it spinning and it tells us which way the wind is blowing. I'll get a watt hour meter for it to see what is actually does.
Cheers,
