I will give it until next week and then try again. Mitnite have always been great for customer service in the past.

Failing that I will rip the thing apart and fit my own fan replacement in (better quality non lucky star, yum cha brand) and make my own fet bar thermal gasket.

Well, I asked for a "FAN KIT" but these things come with a lot of work.
We have 2 KITs needed, old Classic with the FET silpad and the new one with out.
Each part, every screw nut & bolt at MN has a part number, everything is inventoried.

Each "KIT" is assigned a BOM (Bill Of Materials) number which includes all the part numbers so to relieve inventory.
This new number has to be assigned and put into the computer with the bazillion other BOM's.

Then, once we have a BOM, someone has to find a bag (it has a MN part# too) and put these together, then a place on the mile & ahalf shelf network needs to be assigned.

We are working on it.

Hi Kurt,
Sorry for the delay. The BOM has been created, looks like the final cost will be $39 and shipping would be expected to be under $10 in within the continental US. We should have this product available on the website for anyone who needs one in the next few days. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. The lower fans are currently out of stock but should be available to ship in the next two weeks.

Thanks :) Wizbandit and Sue,
Sorry if I came across a little impatient. I Was dealing with a few other dramas at the one time. That all sounds very reasonable and will keep a lookout for the lower fan kit on your webpage.

I see the fan kits are up on the Midnite webpage now :) Thanks.

How do I go about purchasing one Do I need to order it through a distributor or can I purchase somehow directly from Midnite?
Thanks again.

Kurt.

Hi Kurt,
normally you would go through a distributor but if you have not ordered yet call me direct and we will get you taken care of. 360-403-7207x22

Hi Kurt ??  My 150 fans stopped working. One was almost siezed the other was free to move. Brand is HONDALY Model DFB401012L Made in China. I dismantled the seized one, discovered 2 very small ballbearing races. Looked up ebay, not available, but the DFS401012 is. S is for sleeve, B must be for ballbearing. One ebay advert said ball dual bearing but their picture showed sleeve, and DFS. Who can we believe?      Difficult on the Midnite website to work out what bearings and how/where to purchase the triple fan kit and what quality as above?    Regardless, I had a spare classic 150, took out the double fan frame, put it into the faulty unit but didnt work when the Fets were hot. Shorted out the thermo socket terminals like the instruction say to but the fans still didnt work.
Whats next please?

Vic

Hi Vic and tks for reply and the spares web site. Replacement fans are not urgent as in my message above, because the new spares I installed tested ok externally on a 12v power supply but they wont work in situ nor with the terminals shorted on the socket for the external thermostat. Thats what the midnite instructions say to do.    Something wrong with the 12v thats supposed to drive them.  The FET and PCB temps go up so they should turn on?, then the 30A charge stops, the temps come down and charging starts again.  The external desk fan I hang there minimises that down time to about 15 seconds.
I can easily get Chinese sleeved bearing fans in Australia but as above ... fans are not the problem. I didnt get an email notification after ticking last time. Hope it works this time. :-[ and thanks in anticipation.
