I have a midnite classic 150 connected to a 450Ah battery bank and a 3000W Outback VFX inverter. I will like to know how to connect an Automatic Transfers Switch (ATS) to my installation such that during the day when the sun is up, I can get energy into the house automatically while my charge controller is charging the batteries at the same time. And when the sun is down, the ATS automatically transfers my load to the grid such that the grid charges my batteries and supplies power to home load. Can someone help on how to accomplish this.

Pretty sure you can set up your Outback inverter to do what you want.
You set up the voltages correctly for it's charger compared to what you have charging voltages set for in Classic.
