Turned the breaker on Rosie for the generator to start charging and Rosie no longer supports a generator. AC input is Grid only and can't change it. Turned the AAC down to 8 and still kicking the generator off when usually I can turn it up to 15.

Weldman, what is Rosie's software version ?

Can't change  the input until you  go to system menu and turn Rosie OFF  is what I am hearing.

Try that.

Input can not be changed when the relay is closed. Turn off the AC input breaker and then make the change

Spiffy new feature, I got it to work after doing as such. Still interesting to see only needing 8 AAC instead of 15, that or my generator is finally giving up.
Drawing a lot of power with 3 incubators, a brooder box, and the home on it and then a snow storm decides to blow through for 5 days.

Like to say now we are on the other end of the spectrum on temperatures. We hit 110°F couple of times, the unit read "Hi Temp 45.1°C" while running our 12k mini split, freezer, fridge/freezer, two LED lights and welding all the while humming along hiccup free. The unit is still mounted in the pole barn on the wall.
Hope to put everything underground before next winter as everything is now headed back the other way to cooler temperatures.

It's been 110 +  here in Phoenix too.

Very different on the generator with the Rosie Beta update. Usually can run about 10 AAC on the settings, I'm up to 26 AAC pushing in 75 amps at max. Overall way more smoother on the generator too, surging very bad before the November update and not getting over 50 amps in.

Welp Rosie went down again, turned genset on took longer than usual to kick in to start charging, charged as it should on battery and around 7 kWh it turned off from charging anymore.
Went to try it again this morning and got nothing on charging, reset the unit by powering down and up and the unit refused to come back on, just blinking its yellow light. Temperatures were -2.8°C so that might be a factor, if so or if not.
I will say after going on my second winter with Rosie that it isn't meant for places like Montana, Wyoming, South and North Dakota and definitely not meant for depending on without another source for backup power and charging. I always cringe on updates or powering the unit on and off on whether it will come back on. Living off grid, truly off grid as in Rosie goes down and you aren't going back online to ask what is wrong, you aren't calling up Midnite Solar in fact you better hope your vehicle starts and can drive 40 miles to any cell signal.
Gets really fun on weekends when everything is closed.

So after studying, Rosie stopped charging around 20°F would not restart when temperatures are around 9°F . Wasn't until I put a 80k BTU diesel heater on it for about 10 minutes did the unit power back up.
Sounds like a repeat of last winter, so much for functionality till -4°F

Rosie not coming back on at 35°F now, won't charge either till I warm the unit up by putting a diesel heater on it. Either the update was bad or the unit is going down. Charges only so much in Absorb and will kick the generator off after a bit when it gets that far.

They found a bug in the BTS code that effects charging.  Unplug the BTS and see if the problems go away.  We are testing the "fixed" code right now and are going to move it to release ASAP.

Seems to go away now that temperatures have dropped and snow/clouds are back to test it.

Got the Rosie update and we are back to the generator surging and having to turn the AAC back down to 12 to not overload it. Guess I need about a 15kW genset to do what I need, this 9kW isn't cutting it.
