Is Rosie BETA version 24.05.21.00 still available for download?  My Rosie came with 24.2.29.1 & when I ran the Android Beta program (Green) to update, says I am running the current version.  Thanks.

The beta app should be pulling 24.06.03.01 from the server

Thank you Ryan.  I'm having issues getting this latest Beta into my replacement Rosie.  When I check the Beta Server, I get a message that says the SERVER is not available or the internet is down.  When I check the regular software Server, it says I'm running the latest software.  (I know my internet is good, so this just verifies that I'm getting out ok and connecting to at least one Midnite Sever). Any ideas on how I can fix this.  I'm using an Android phone that has had no issues down loading regular Beta updates on my prior Rosie. I also have an older Android pad that I've tried the Beta server, get the same message.  Thanks!

Hi AAApilot, I have a couple of questions.
1.Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the app?
2. if you tried connecting via wi-fi have you tried cell phone reception or vice verse?
3. What other troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

1.Yes, several times.  Uninstalling app, turning off phone, back on, reinstall, etc.
2. The Android phone is not connected to cell service (I use an iPhone), wi-fi only.
2a.  I disconnected the house wifi from the iPhone, did a HotSpot wifi connection to the Android phone w/the iPhone on cell connection, and attempted connection.  No joy, same 'failed to connect' message.

I dug up an older Android tablet, downloaded the App, and tried w/that device, did not work as well.  However, the 'Blue' App that checks for stable releases works fine on both Android and Apple devices.

The Android phone has worked fine in the past, just hasn't worked since I brought up the 'new' Rosie.  I doubt this has anything to do w/the issue, however it was the reason for needing to connect to the Beta server.

Does the MNGP2 keep any internal markers for equipment it has updated in the past? Would reseting MNGP2 perhaps clear out old data from the previous Rosie?  I have resisted doing this as if it doesn't help, then I'll only be able to bring back the MNGP2 back to a 'stable' software, not Beta.

Thanks for the input!  Dave

Appreciate the advice, Larry.  I should have done that, but not very familiar w/an Android.  Anyway, that did not work either :(. I even went as far as to uninstall the regular Updater program as well as the Classic app that monitors my Classic 200 and unplugged the internet from that controller.  Just operating on the theory that some Midnite program was interrupting/changing the settings.  Finally swapped out the Sim from my iPhone into the Android, so LTE data only - no WiFi,  then re-installed the Beta app (cleaned out the Cache & data before I deleted the app and removed the battery from the phone for a couple minute).  Nada, same 'failed to connect to the server'.  I'm out of thoughts .....

Did you try holding in the Back Button on the MNGP2 while powering it on ?
That is supposed to put it back to production version. But maybe if you aren't able to connect to beta  update site that wouldn't help. Is there anything in your router, security software,  or firewall that might be blocking it? Try disabling them and then see if it finds the site ?

Not that I'm aware of.  I've made numerous Beta updates since January to the HB/MNGP2/Rosie with the same Android/WiFi combo.  I haven't made any changes to the router, but you never know if/when some auto-update software makes a change.  It's like looking for a needle in a haystack.  I bypassed the WiFi by using Cell data, so I doubt that is the cause. I've tried all the External solutions that I can think of .. 2 different Android devices, both home WiFi and Cell internet and hotspot to a 3rd phone. I'm going to shut down the HB/Rosie, pull the covers and change the position of the Canbus plugs, then do a reset on both machines. The only difference to the system was the replacement of the Rosie, so logical troubleshooting would be something within that unit/software.

Did you turn off any units (HB) that you were not updating to reduce canbus traffic ?

I'm guessing you did but...

I did as you suggested last night boB, HB off, removed the MNGP2 from the HB and plugged directly into Rosie.  Same result.  I have a spare HB 90, so I unpacked it, removed the MNGP2, plugged it into Rosie using a known good Cat6a patch cord, same result running the Beta or Normal updater.  Then I tried the Normal Updater on the iPhone and .... surprise, it connects just fine!  Updated the new MNGP2 to latest Production firmware AND the Rosie to 3.15.24 which is latest Production. SO, it has to be something with BOTH Android devices.  I completely wiped clean and reset the LG Style 3+ Android phone, running android 7.0 (app needs 5.1 or later), still won't connect to the server, yet it downloads all other apps and data just fine.  Guess I'm going to purchase a new Android and see what happens :/

Does anyone know if the Beta app/Android devices need a particular Reservation &/or Port Forwarding port opened?

I used to be able to buy new and unlocked Android phones from Amazon I think it was for like, $38

I am not sure if that is a thing of the past or not.

WEIRD that your iPhone connected.  Does it update code ?

Yes it did!  The iPhone updated the Rosie to latest Production code.  I also did the MNGP2 reset back to factory firmware, then did an iPhone update to latest Production code.

My neighbor uses an Android phone and said he'd stop by this weekend so I could give it a try.  I'll get a new 'something' Android once I know that it will work!  Thanks boB!

My older Samsung S5 has always worked on updates for Hawkes Bay. But I have loaded a different operating system in it than stock Samsung.  Look on XDA Forums to see what operating systems might be available for you phone . Takes a little bit of geek work to install sometimes depending on type of phone.
By the way - I just picked up 3 android phones from a store recycling bin.  Not sure which generation  yet or if they are better than the one I have . I guess it has been sort of a hobby of mine to reflash the operating systems in phones over the years . I don't pay any phone company - just use them with wifi which gives me access to all the apps , etc.

Thanks Larry, Good advice.  I hate having a perfectly good piece of equipment, well other than accessing the Beta server, that goes to waste, so I'll take a look at the XDA site.  I'm not totally geek, but I have my moments! :)
